The newly created „Kecskevész”climbing path in the Harghita Mădăraș mountains is the first climbing path of this type in the region.
This can be used by anyone free of charge but an adequate climbing equipment is obligatory. For conquering Via ferrata we can offer you complete equipment (helmet, harness, lunge) and a guide!
We can use two climbing paths on the 60-meters-high „Kecskevész” rock, the distance is about 200 meters and there are steel cables and fixed anchores that help us getting on the top. The two rocks are connected with a so-called Vietnamese bridge, i.e. two tigthened cables. For rock climbing there is no need for special knowledge or expertise, but the formers of this path recommend to conquere the top with an experienced guide.
The difficulty level of the „Kecskevész” track is upper-intermediate, so it can offer great experiences for both beginners and advanced. For climbing climbers need minimal knowledge, i.e. they should know how to use carabiners, harnesses, so it is worth learning these things from an experienced guide.
In order to avoid accidents one must observe all rules and regulations, however the track is completely safe: when it was created only checked tools were used, the wall was checked as well and fixed anchores were put only on completely stable parts, so the track is very safe.
Considering all these everyone can take part in adventure on his/her own responsibility!
